Description

The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) immediately invites applications for openings for Research Fellow and Research Engineer positions in the areas of design and development of novel aerial robotics. Researchers will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, designers and engineers to design and develop a tethered aerial robotic platform to perform advanced interaction tasks.

Project Deliverables

This project involves:

Designing and developing a tethering unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) capable of dynamically handling aerial flight with multi-modal tethering system.
Optimizing the mechanical and electrical design of the aerial platform for power tethering-based operation as well as permitting advanced interaction tasks.
Devising and integrating onboard and off-board sensors to allow the aerial unit to be localized accurately and precisely without GPS-based methods.

Salary

We offer highly competitive salary which is determined based on the applicants’ research achievements, experience and qualifications. It is fixed-term and filled initially for 1 year with an option for extension for another year.
